Job Description

You'll pick, prune and look after crops on a berry tunnel farm near Middelburg (MP) through the season. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a berry tunnel farm on the Middelburg (MP) side of Mpumalanga. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Weed beds by hand or with a hoe
Tie up tomato and pepper plants in tunnels
Wash hands and use the field toilets for food safety
Move irrigation pipes and check drippers for blockages
Pick fruit or vegetables at the right ripeness and size, gently
Follow the re-entry times after spraying, as the signs show

What you need

Available for the full harvest season
Valid ID or work permit
Willing to start at sunrise
Able to work outdoors in heat, cold and rain
