Job Description

Housekeeping at a game lodge in Alberton is steady work with room to grow into supervising. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Alberton, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Log lost property with the guest's room number and date
Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry

You'll need

Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
Well groomed
Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
Grade 10 or matric
Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses

Nice if you have

Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests
A hospitality short course or NQF Level 2 accommodation services certificate
Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience
