Job Description

Guests at a game lodge in Atlantis will never meet you, but they will judge the stay by your work. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is in Atlantis (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry
Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights

What you need

Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
Grade 10 or matric
Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift
Well groomed

On offer

Uniform supplied and laundered
Staff accommodation at remote lodges
Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
