Guest Room Attendant (Lodge) – Immediate Start

You'll turn rooms around at a city business hotel in eMalahleni so every guest walks into a room that feels new. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a city business hotel on the eMalahleni side of Mpumalanga. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date
• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift

• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Well groomed
• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses
• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift

• Experience with industrial laundry machines
• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests

• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Share of the service charge or guest tips
• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen

• Mention seasonal availability for December and Easter. Coastal and lodge properties hire heavily before those peaks.
• Write how many rooms you usually cleaned per shift. Head housekeepers care about pace as much as quality.
