Guesthouse Housekeeper – Permanent

Check-out to check-in in under an hour, room after room, at a city business hotel in Springs. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The work is in Springs, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry
• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
• Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board

• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Grade 10 or matric
• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses
• Well groomed
• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift

• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
