Hardware Store Yard Assistant

Start in retail here: a liquor store in Hammarsdale trains packers who show up and work neat. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Location: Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager

• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Basic reading and maths for price checks
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
