Hardware Store Yard Assistant

You'll keep the shelves full and tidy at a township shopping centre store in Welkom, so shoppers find what they came for. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Welkom. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs
• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves

• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Grade 10 or matric
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Basic reading and maths for price checks

• Some till or cash-handling experience
• Own transport for route merchandising jobs

• Chance to move into till or department roles
• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
• Paid training in store procedures
