Health and Safety Manager (Construction) – Immediate Start

The renewable energy construction site in Cape Town CBD needs a safety officer who is on the site, not stuck in the container office. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a renewable energy construction site in Cape Town CBD. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
• Audit subcontractor safety files before they start work
• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment
• Inspect scaffolds, excavations and edge protection daily

• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014
• First Aid Level 1 at least

• Fall protection planner training
• ISO 45001 internal auditor course

• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
• Travel and site allowances
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Laptop and data for reporting

• Put your SACPCMP registration number and category first. Many CVs without it are rejected without being read.
• Bring a sample risk assessment or safety file index you drew up (remove client names). It shows your work better than a list.
