Job Description

You'll help learners who are stuck finally get it, one session at a time, for a matric rewrite college in Kariega. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a matric rewrite college on the Kariega side of Eastern Cape.

What your day looks like

Plan sessions that target the exact topics the learner is failing
Log hours and sessions on the agency's booking system for payment
Prepare learners for control tests with short timed practice drills
Write a short progress note for parents after each session
Run live video lessons with a headset, whiteboard app and stable connection
Adjust your pace for learners with ADHD, dyslexia or anxiety

You'll need

Own transport for home tutoring posts
Reliable internet and a quiet place to teach for online posts
Distinction or strong pass in the subject you'll tutor
Currently studying at university, or holding a degree or diploma

Nice if you have

Second language for learners who study in Afrikaans or isiZulu
