Careful, trained cleaners are wanted at a day surgery clinic in Cape Town CBD. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Cape Town CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a day surgery clinic. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Mop spills of blood or fluids using the spill kit
• Clean patient rooms using colour-coded cloths and mops for each area
• Disinfect bed rails, call bells and bedside lockers
• Do terminal cleans of isolation rooms after a patient is discharged
• Wear gowns, masks and gloves as each room requires

• Able to work shifts including weekends and night duty
• Up to date with vaccinations the hospital requires, such as hepatitis B
• Respectful and discreet around patients
• Willing to follow strict infection control steps every time

• Shift allowances for nights and Sundays
• Meal on shift at the staff canteen
• On-the-job infection control training
• Medical aid option through the employer
