Job Description

A family in Tembisa wants someone they can trust with their retired couple's cottage and their children. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The work is in Tembisa, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What you'll actually do

Help an elderly person with meals, medication reminders and light walking
Get children ready for school and supervise homework in the afternoon
Change bed linen and make beds
Clean windows and patio doors once a week
Prepare simple meals or school lunches when asked

What you need

Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised
Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines
Trustworthy, with references from previous employers you can share
South African ID or valid work permit

Helpful, not essential

Experience caring for an older person
A driver's licence for school lifts

On offer

Written contract with fixed hours and duties
Own room with bathroom for live-in posts
Paid annual leave and public holidays as the law requires
