Housekeeping Supervisor (Boutique Hotel)

You'll turn rooms around at a conference hotel in Lephalale so every guest walks into a room that feels new. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a conference hotel in Lephalale. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included

• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses
• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift
• Well groomed
• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season

• Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience
• Experience with industrial laundry machines
• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests

• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
• Share of the service charge or guest tips

• Write how many rooms you usually cleaned per shift. Head housekeepers care about pace as much as quality.
