Job Description

Clean rooms mean good reviews, and this self-catering resort in Cape Town CBD lives on reviews. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Cape Town CBD, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What you'll actually do

Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.
Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.

What you need

Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
Grade 10 or higher
Weekend and public holiday work
You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings

Helpful, not essential

Laundry machine and steam press experience
Chemical handling training
Basic first aid certificate
