Job Description

Housekeeping keeps a casino hotel in Pietermaritzburg running quietly in the background. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Pietermaritzburg-based, with most of your time spent at a casino hotel. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What you'll actually do

Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.
Hand in lost property with a written log entry.

Must-haves

You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
Grade 10 or higher
Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
