Job Description

People issues land on your desk first at this agricultural pack house in Cape Town CBD, and you'll sort them fairly. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Cape Town CBD, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Track leave, absenteeism and sick notes and act on patterns.
Update HR policies when labour law changes.
Coordinate training and submit SETA grant claims on time.
Consult with shop stewards and attend union meetings.
Run onboarding, contracts and probation reviews for new staff.
Represent the company at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations.
Advise line managers on the Labour Relations Act and the BCEA.

You'll need

Valid driver's licence for multi-site roles
Solid working knowledge of the LRA, BCEA and EEA
CCMA experience, at least at conciliation
Confident facilitating hard conversations with managers and unions
Good report writing and Excel
A degree or diploma in HR management, labour relations or industrial psychology

Extra points for

Experience on a unionised site or in a bargaining council sector
Skills development facilitator (SDF) training
