HR Officer (Private Hospital)

You'll handle the full HR cycle for a retail chain region in Durban Central, from hiring to hearings. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a retail chain region in Durban Central. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Advise line managers on the Labour Relations Act and the BCEA.
• Track leave, absenteeism and sick notes and act on patterns.
• Handle grievances with notes, dates and a clear written outcome.
• Update HR policies when labour law changes.
• Compile the Employment Equity report and the Workplace Skills Plan.

• At least 3 years as an HR officer or generalist
• CCMA experience, at least at conciliation
• Valid driver's licence for multi-site roles
• Good report writing and Excel

• CPD and SABPP fees paid

• Prepare for a case-study question on dismissing an employee fairly, and walk through procedure and substance.
• Name the bargaining councils or unions you have dealt with, as sector knowledge often decides the shortlist.
