ICU Registered Nurse (Day Shift) – Experienced

Bring your SANC registration and your ward experience to a community day clinic in Midrand that needs a steady pair of hands. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Midrand-based, with most of your time spent at a community day clinic. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Do wound care, catheter care and IV line management to unit protocol
• Keep clinical notes clear, timed and signed for audits and legal records
• Run emergency trolley checks and respond to cardiac arrest calls
• Monitor vital signs, fluid balance and early warning scores, and escalate changes quickly
• Take part in ward rounds with doctors and record the new orders
• Take handover at the bedside and plan care for your allocated patients

• Current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse, with this year's annual fees paid
• Valid BLS certificate; ACLS or PALS for ICU and emergency posts
• Solid knowledge of medication safety and the Nursing Act scope of practice
• At least 1 year of post-community-service ward experience

• Dispensing licence (Section 22A(15)) for clinic posts
• IMCI and NIMART training for primary health care work

• Night-shift and weekend allowances on top of basic pay
• Study support for post-basic specialities
• Medical aid and pension fund contributions after probation
• Paid SANC annual fees at some groups

• List your speciality skills in plain words, such as "ventilated patients" or "normal deliveries", instead of just the ward name.
