ICU Registered Nurse (Day Shift)

You'll run patient care on a busy shift at a private hospital surgical ward in Worcester, from admission to discharge. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Worcester-based, with most of your time spent at a private hospital surgical ward. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Keep clinical notes clear, timed and signed for audits and legal records
• Run emergency trolley checks and respond to cardiac arrest calls
• Give scheduled medication, including Schedule 5 and 6 drugs, and sign the register
• Take handover at the bedside and plan care for your allocated patients
• Supervise enrolled nurses and nursing assistants on your side of the ward
• Prepare patients for theatre and receive them back from recovery

• Solid knowledge of medication safety and the Nursing Act scope of practice
• Current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse, with this year's annual fees paid
• Calm under pressure when a patient's condition turns quickly
• You can work 12-hour day or night shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Clean criminal record
