Industrial Electrician (Factory Maintenance) – Immediate Start

The office park maintenance team in Pretoria West needs a qualified electrician who can work neatly and sign off safe installations. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is in Pretoria West (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Quote small jobs for clients and explain the fault in plain language
• Read electrical layouts and mark out point positions before chasing walls
• Replace faulty light fittings, plugs, geyser elements and thermostats
• Install and wire distribution boards, isolators and earth leakage units to SANS 10142-1
• Install inverters, battery banks and changeover switches for backup power clients

• Registered with the Department of Employment and Labour as an Installation Electrician or holding a Wireman's licence
• Clean criminal record, since you will work inside client homes
• Comfortable working at heights on ladders and in roof spaces
• Valid Code 08 driver's licence
• Electrical trade test certificate (Section 13 or 26D) through a QCTO-accredited centre

• Master Installation Electrician registration for three-phase CoCs
• Solar PV installation training and experience with hybrid inverters

• Provident fund and group risk cover after probation
• Company bakkie for call-outs and travel between sites
• Company-issued test instruments, calibrated every year

• List two or three recent jobs with sizes, like a 60-point house rewire or a 10 kVA inverter install. It shows your level quickly.
• If you have issued CoCs before, say how many and for what type of property.
