Installation Electrician (Wireman's Licence)

The shopfitting and retail fit-out firm in Boksburg needs a qualified electrician who can work neatly and sign off safe installations. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The site is in Boksburg; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Run conduit, trunking and cable tray on new builds and renovations
• Quote small jobs for clients and explain the fault in plain language
• Complete job cards, material lists and test reports at the end of each job
• Lock out and tag out circuits before any work on live equipment
• Terminate armoured cable and fit glands on three-phase motor supplies

• Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
• At least 3 years working as a qualified electrician after your trade test
• Electrical trade test certificate (Section 13 or 26D) through a QCTO-accredited centre
• Registered with the Department of Employment and Labour as an Installation Electrician or holding a Wireman's licence
• Comfortable working at heights on ladders and in roof spaces

• PLC and motor control experience from a factory setting
• Solar PV installation training and experience with hybrid inverters
• N3 electrical trade theory on top of your trade test

• Company bakkie for call-outs and travel between sites
• Company-issued test instruments, calibrated every year

• Put your registration category (IE, MIE or single-phase tester) and registration number right under your name on the CV.
