Job Description

Harvest time on a deciduous fruit orchard near Bellville means early mornings, full crates and paid overtime. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a deciduous fruit orchard on the Bellville side of Western Cape. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What your day looks like

Fill crates or bins and carry them to the collection point
Follow the re-entry times after spraying, as the signs show
Keep your picking card or tag count for daily pay
Wash hands and use the field toilets for food safety
Tie up tomato and pepper plants in tunnels

You'll need

Willing to start at sunrise
Valid ID or work permit
Available for the full harvest season
Careful with fruit, since bruised fruit is rejected
Able to work outdoors in heat, cold and rain
Physically fit for bending, lifting and climbing ladders

Piece-rate bonus on top of daily wage
