IT Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid Environment)

A manufacturing group with several sites in Alberton needs infrastructure that just works, and someone to make it so. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a manufacturing group with several sites on the Alberton side of Gauteng.

• Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
• Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
• Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
• Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
• Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
• Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
• Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID

• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
• ISO 27001 audit experience
