IT Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid Environment)

Patch, monitor, back up and harden systems at a data centre in Centurion. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at a data centre. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
• Document network diagrams and change records
• Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
• Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
• Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
• Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
• Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures

• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge

• CCNA, Fortinet NSE or MikroTik certification
• Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh

• Company laptop, phone and home internet allowance
• Standby allowance and overtime for maintenance windows
• Funded certification path
