IT Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid Environment)

Patch, monitor, back up and harden systems at a data centre in Worcester. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Worcester-based, with most of your time spent at a data centre. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
• Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
• Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
• Document network diagrams and change records
• Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins

• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration

• ISO 27001 audit experience
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible

• Standby allowance and overtime for maintenance windows
• Funded certification path
• Company laptop, phone and home internet allowance

• Include your certification verification links, since many employers check them before the interview.
