IT Intern (Support Desk)

You'll be the person who fixes it when laptops, printers and logins break at a group of private schools in Sandton. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Sandton-based, with most of your time spent at a group of private schools. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine

• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes

• ITIL Foundation
• Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification

• Travel allowance for field technicians
