Job Description

A corporate head office in Mamelodi needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a corporate head office on the Mamelodi side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
Write short how-to guides for common user problems

Must-haves

Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
Patient and friendly with non-technical users
Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
