Job Description

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a fintech start-up in Atlantis. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll report in Atlantis. Relocation is not covered for this one. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What you'll actually do

Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Pair with junior developers to unblock them
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning

What you need

Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
Experience writing automated tests
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people

Helpful, not essential

Docker and Kubernetes experience
Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
Public GitHub portfolio or published app
