Junior Bookkeeper (Xero) – Permanent

You'll keep the books clean and up to date for a wholesale distributor in Pretoria East. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a wholesale distributor on the Pretoria East side of Gauteng. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Reconcile creditors statements and sort out differences with suppliers
• Prepare VAT201 workings for the accountant to submit on SARS eFiling
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
• Keep the filing system in order for the annual audit or review
• Update customer credit limits and put accounts on hold when needed
• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days

• Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details
• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work
• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
• Understanding of VAT input and output rules
• Matric with Accounting

• Paid study leave for bookkeeping exams
• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
• Office hours with no weekend work
