Junior IT Technician (Schools)

A call centre campus in Germiston needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a call centre campus on the Germiston side of Gauteng. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
• Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine

• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi

• ITIL Foundation
• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
