Junior Quantity Surveyor (Private Practice)

This is a numbers job with boots on: bills of quantities, site measurements and payment claims in Brackenfell. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The site is in Brackenfell; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Value variations and prepare claims under JBCC or GCC conditions
• Prepare the final account at the end of the project
• Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities
• Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings
• Get quotes from subcontractors and compare them line by line

• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
• Code 08 licence for site visits
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work
• At least 3 years of QS work in private practice or with a contractor

• SACQSP registration as a Professional or Candidate QS
• Estimating software experience on top of Excel
• Honours degree in Quantity Surveying
