Safety files, inspections and toolbox talks: this municipal infrastructure project in Randburg needs someone who can do all three well. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a municipal infrastructure project in Randburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Audit subcontractor safety files before they start work
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor

• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• You write clear reports in English
• First Aid Level 1 at least
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer

• Diploma in Safety Management
• Fall protection planner training

• Travel and site allowances
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
