Job Description

You'll keep clients in good standing with SARS at an import and export trading house in Pretoria East. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is an import and export trading house on the Pretoria East side of Gauteng.

What you'll actually do

Draft objections and appeals with supporting schedules
Prepare and submit ITR12, ITR14 and ITR12T returns on SARS eFiling
Check SARS assessments and flag errors to clients
Track filing season deadlines and send reminders to clients
Apply for tax clearance and tax compliance status PINs
Prepare VAT201 returns and review input tax claims

Must-haves

Clear writing for SARS letters and objections
Degree or diploma in accounting or tax
Registered tax practitioner with a recognised controlling body such as SAIT or SAIPA
Comfortable handling tax season overtime
Neat, careful and organised with client documents
Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act

Nice if you have

Experience with trusts, estates and capital gains tax
Customs and excise knowledge for import-export clients
Postgraduate diploma in tax
