Job Description

Selling to companies takes patience; at this conference and events venue in Germiston, big deals are worth the wait. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a conference and events venue in Germiston. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

The work, day to day

Attend trade shows and industry breakfasts to meet buyers.
Work with operations to hand over new clients smoothly.
Negotiate contract terms, rentals and service-level agreements.
Visit key accounts monthly and check how the service is going.
Respond to RFQs and tenders with complete supplier packs, including B-BBEE certificates.
Forecast monthly sales and report pipeline value each Monday.
Prospect new companies by phone, LinkedIn and walk-ins in business parks.

You'll need

Matric plus a sales, marketing or technical qualification
2 or more years of business-to-business sales with a proven record
You close deals, not just collect meetings
Resilient enough to handle long sales cycles and rejection
Confident with Excel, Outlook and a CRM

Helpful, not essential

An existing network of buyers in your sector
Salesforce, Zoho or HubSpot CRM experience
Tender and CSD registration experience
