Key Account Merchandising Supervisor

This hardware and paint supplier needs a rep in Hammarsdale who knows the shops, the owners and the numbers. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a hardware and paint supplier on the Hammarsdale side of KwaZulu-Natal. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Take orders from store managers and spaza owners on the sales app.
• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.
• Run in-store tastings and demos on month-end weekends.
• Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.

• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
• A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• Matric
• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area

• Speaking two or more local languages
• A sales or marketing certificate
• Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position

• Cellphone and data allowance
• Product samples and staff pricing
• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts

• Bring numbers: cases sold per month, new outlets opened or growth percentages on your route.
• Name the areas you know and the store types you have serviced (supermarket chains, independents, spazas) in your CV summary.
