Label and Punnet Packer (Berries)

Quick hands and good eyes are all an export fruit packhouse near Somerset West really needs from you. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Location: Somerset West, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
• Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
• Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
• Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
• Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
• Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet

• Arrives on time for early shifts
• Able to stand at a line for long shifts
• Follows hygiene rules at all times
• Basic counting and reading for labels
• Valid ID or permit
• Available for the full packing season including Saturdays

• Matric for QC posts
• Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.

• Rehire for next season if you perform well
• Protective clothing supplied
• Overtime pay during peak weeks

• If you want a QC post, bring your matric certificate and say you can write neat records.
