You'll turn rooms around at a conference hotel in eMalahleni so every guest walks into a room that feels new. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a conference hotel on the eMalahleni side of Mpumalanga.

• Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries

• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift
• Well groomed
• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Grade 10 or matric

• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Share of the service charge or guest tips
• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
