Laundry Attendant (Hotel Linen Room)

Guests at a beachfront holiday resort in Secunda will never meet you, but they will judge the stay by your work. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Secunda, Mpumalanga, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry

• Grade 10 or matric
• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses
• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift

• Experience with industrial laundry machines
• Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience
• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests

• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
