Laundry Attendant (Hotel Linen Room)

Check-out to check-in in under an hour, room after room, at a boutique guesthouse in White River. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: White River, Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries

• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift
• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses
• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Grade 10 or matric

• Experience with industrial laundry machines
• A hospitality short course or NQF Level 2 accommodation services certificate
• Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience

• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
• Uniform supplied and laundered
