Laundry Attendant (Lodge)

Housekeeping keeps a bush lodge in Germiston running quietly in the background. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll be based at a bush lodge in Germiston. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
• Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
• Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
• Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
• Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.

• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
• Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
• Grade 10 or higher

• A supervisor course or time spent running a floor
• Basic first aid certificate
• Laundry machine and steam press experience

• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts
• Meals on duty
• Monthly award for best room scores
• Uniform and protective gloves supplied

• Many hotels recruit through walk-ins at the staff entrance, so ask for the housekeeping office and leave your CV there.
