Learning Materials Developer (NQF Aligned)

Here your industry experience becomes lessons for the next group of learners, at a public TVET college in Johannesburg CBD. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Johannesburg CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a public TVET college. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
• Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification
• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings
• Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
• Moderate other assessors' decisions and sign off moderation reports
• Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better

• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• Own transport for training at client sites
• Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults
• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field

• Paid re-registration with your SETA
• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings

• Show your industry years separately from your training years; providers need both.
• Say which unit standards or occupational qualifications you're registered for; this decides where you can be used.
