Learning Materials Developer (NQF Aligned)

You'll train adult learners at an accredited training provider in Kathu and get them through their qualification. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at an accredited training provider in Kathu. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
• Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments
• Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings
• Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks

• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
• Own transport for training at client sites

• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges

• Show your industry years separately from your training years; providers need both.
• Say which unit standards or occupational qualifications you're registered for; this decides where you can be used.
