Learning Materials Developer (NQF Aligned)

Stand in front of a class of adults at a manufacturing plant training room in Potchefstroom and make the work make sense. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Potchefstroom, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings
• Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
• Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
• Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
• Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification

• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• Good report writing and record keeping
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Own transport for training at client sites

• Teaching qualification or Higher Certificate in adult education
• Experience with QCTO occupational qualifications

• Paid re-registration with your SETA
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings

• Show your industry years separately from your training years; providers need both.
• Put your assessor registration number and the SETA it sits with at the top of your CV.
