Legal Typist (Transcription)

You'll keep the attorneys at a debt counselling firm in Cape Town CBD organised, on time and ready for court. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

• Collect documents for estates, such as death certificates and bank statements
• Prepare section 129 notices and default judgment applications
• Capture payments and update debtor balances on collection matters
• Type and format letters, notices and affidavits from dictation or drafts
• Handle incoming calls and give clients straightforward progress updates

• Fast, accurate typing and strong Word formatting
• Understanding of court rules and deadlines
• Matric plus a legal secretary or paralegal qualification
• Discreet with confidential client information

• Paralegal diploma or LLB studies in progress
• Audio typing at 60+ words per minute

• Close-to-transport offices in city centres
• Study assistance for LLB or paralegal courses
• Office hours with no weekend work
• Year-end bonus at many firms
