LHD Operator (Underground Scoop) – Permanent

You'll operate heavy mining machines on shift at the contract mining company near Burgersfort. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is in Burgersfort (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

• Refuel and wash the machine at the end of your shift where required
• Drill blast holes to the plan depth and angle marked by the survey team
• Respect the collision avoidance system warnings and park-up rules
• Keep radio contact with the dispatch controller and follow the right-of-way rules
• Log loads, cycle times and machine hours on the onboard system or sheet
• Report defects and lock out the machine for the maintenance crew

• Clear understanding of the TMM regulations under Chapter 8 of the MHSA regulations
• Certificate of fitness from a mine medical practitioner
• Code 10 or Code 14 driver's licence
• Grade 10 at minimum, with Grade 12 strongly preferred

• Machine training instructor experience
• Experience with ultra-class haul trucks
• Fatigue management or defensive driving training
