Job Description

Plumbing work that keeps Durban Central homes and buildings running: this property management company needs a trade-tested plumber. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Location: Durban Central, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Trace hidden leaks using pressure tests and moisture readings
Service booster pumps, pressure tanks and water storage tanks
Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
Work on the emergency call-out roster for after-hours bursts
Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens

What you need

Code 08 licence and a clean driving record
PIRB registration as a Licensed Plumber, so you can issue plumbing CoCs
Working knowledge of SANS 10252-1 and SANS 10254
Fit enough to lift a 150-litre geyser with a helper and work in tight roof spaces

Extra points for

Drain camera and high-pressure jetting experience
Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
