Job Description

This insurance repair contractor in Epping needs a plumber who arrives on time, fixes it properly and leaves the site clean. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is an insurance repair contractor on the Epping side of Western Cape.

What you'll actually do

Work on the emergency call-out roster for after-hours bursts
Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens
Clear blocked drains with a rodding machine and inspect lines with a drain camera
Take photos and complete the insurer's claim report after each geyser job
Replace burst geysers and fit vacuum breakers, drip trays and pressure control valves to SANS 10254
Issue plumbing Certificates of Compliance for completed installations
Trace hidden leaks using pressure tests and moisture readings

You'll need

Able to talk politely to home owners about damage and costs
Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)
At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
Code 08 licence and a clean driving record

Helpful, not essential

Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
