Extra points for

  • Experience with remedial or inclusive education

What's in it for you

  • School holidays in line with the school calendar

  • Housing allowance for SGB and state-funded posts where it applies

Applying, step by step

  1. Read the "What you need" list above. If you tick most of it, go ahead and apply.
  2. Have the following on hand (clear photos on your phone are fine at first): two recent lesson plans you wrote yourself, certified copies of your teaching qualification and academic record plus SACE registration certificate.
  3. Use the form on this page. It takes about two minutes and you don't need to upload anything yet.
  4. Keep your phone on. Shortlisted applicants are contacted by call, SMS or WhatsApp within 6 working days.

How to stand out

  • Add your matric results or pass rates for your classes if they improved; hard numbers beat adjectives.
  • Mention the extra-murals you can run, as smaller schools often choose the teacher who can also coach.
