Linen Room Attendant

You'll clean and set up guest rooms at a bush lodge in Alberton to a checklist standard. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a bush lodge in Alberton. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
• Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
• Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.
• Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
• Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
• Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
• Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.

• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• Grade 10 or higher
• Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
• You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
• Weekend and public holiday work

• Laundry machine and steam press experience
• Chemical handling training
• Basic first aid certificate

• Meals on duty
• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts
• Monthly award for best room scores

• A clean, clear police clearance helps; mention it if you have a recent one.
• Write how many rooms per shift you managed at your last job; supervisors look for that number.
