Linux Systems Administrator – Experienced

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a manufacturing group with several sites in Secunda. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Secunda, Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
• Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
• Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
• Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
• Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
• Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
• Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures

• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
• ISO 27001 audit experience
