Job Description

Start in retail here: a township shopping centre store in Roodepoort trains packers who show up and work neat. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is in Roodepoort (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager

You'll need

Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
Grade 10 or matric
Basic reading and maths for price checks
Polite with customers and happy to help
Able to stand and lift cases all shift

Helpful, not essential

Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
Own transport for route merchandising jobs

On offer

Chance to move into till or department roles
Travel allowance on merchandising routes
Paid training in store procedures
